
ALI ABEDINI, P.Eng., M.A.Sc.

Mr.Ali Abedini, Principal and co-founder of Abedini Norris Consulting (ANC) has both a Bachelors (2001) and a Masters degree (2003) in Mechnical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. Mr. Abedini has over 20 years of construction related experience, extending from his work as a mechanical contractor and Project Manager in the ICI (Industrial Commercial Institutional) sector in the early years, to his 15 years of design and engineering experience in mechanical, fire protection and building construction.
Mr. Abedini’s has a very broad range of engineering experience expanding from 15 years of working for M&E and Fire Protection engineering firms, as well being a Professor at Seneca College, Faculty of Applied Science and Technology for 15 years. With over 1000 projects successfully completed, Mr. Abedini can provide technical expertise for an extensive variety of mechanical, fire and building systems.

Mr. Norris has a broad range of fire protection and life safety experience including projects in commercial, healthcare, business, residential, storage, institutional and assembly occupancies. His experiences include using NFPA codes and model buildings codes used globally.
Mr. Norris's project experience includes the design and review of life safety and fire protection systems including automatic sprinkler protection, underground water supply analysis, fire alarm initiation and notification, egress analysis, access control, fire resistance ratings, smoke control, due diligence surveys and alternative construction methods & compliance, alternative egress studies utilizing computational egress models. Mr. Norris also has specialties in contract and project management.
Mr. Norris has worked at Seneca College in Toronto as an adjutant Professor within the School of Fire Protection Engineering.
Mr. Norris is a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Fire Safety Association (CFSA); and Chair of the Annual Education Forum.
